Sad but true

Alfa Romeo GTV6 Cars, Tools and Spares

Two cars - both 1985
More Photos!

My beloved Alfa Romeo's have to find a new home. Unfortunate financial circumstances force this decision. Those in the Alfa community may know my website Motozane.com. As I found parts that could not be found anymore I made them and passed the parts on to the community. This is part of the 'unfortunate financial circumstances'.

I have had these vehicles since late 2004. The first is a red early '85 model year built September 1984. The other is a late '85 built December 1984. Less than 200 units apart on the VIN. The red car was picked up in New Hampshire and driven back to Portland, OR in 3 1/2 days (3400 miles) by myself. 1200 miles on the last day!

The red car has Shankle cams (really come on strong above 4K) and Shankle headers and a Zeitronic wide-band O2 sensor with PC connection (not much use with the L-Jet but you can track what the A/F ratio is under driving conditions. It also got the car to squeak through DEQ). The bronze car has really bad front seats, a mostly poly rear, straight center pipe a decent Milano Platinum transaxle and interesting custom clear-coat flaking.

Both cars have copious documentation from previous owners. Each has a round 140K, new timing belts and tensioners on both (red has rebuilt hydraulic).

Brakes suck on both but have many new parts.

Both will run but neither very well. Bronze car has valve seal issues and smokes like crazy after idling for 10 minutes (ask the guy at DEQ, it passed later when I didn't have to wait in line), the red car went phutt with a brief smell of rubber. Never found out the issue with that; just drove the bronze car! It still ran but I was never very confident.

Both have (different) rust areas nothing drastic or structural.

Both would make one really nice car that needed a little body work and paint (the red one has better paint). Heck, you then get a base for a track day car!

Brand spanking new!

Many new and used spares from oil pumps to transaxle shims (rare) to door seals and more. Manuals (paper and CD), parts lists etc.

I have not been overly specific here as the price is bargain basement. Come on down to see everything. Located at SE 75th and Foster about a mile from Nasko's.

This is the first shot at disposal; next will be parting out and eBay.

More photos on Photobucket here includes some photos of the spares and tools.

I'll make an effort to identify the tools.
